Jitendra Kumar recently responded to Ali Fazal‘s statement about a crossover between their shows ‘Panchayat‘ and ‘Mirzapur.’
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Jitendra responded to Ali Fazal’s accidental hint about the character Sachiv ji from Panchayat possibly appearing in Mirzapur. He mentioned that he wasn’t aware of the exact statement made and hadn’t followed the trending discussion closely to understand the nature of the hint provided.

He suggested that Ali’s comment might be related to the recent depiction of violence and election themes in Panchayat, hinting at a possible crossover.

However, he admitted not having heard the exact details of what was said.

Earlier, in an interview with ANI, Ali Fazal, known for his role as Guddu Bhaiya in Mirzapur, inadvertently suggested Jitendra Kumar’s cameo in Mirzapur 3. He hinted, “That’s cross-promotion. We have done that.” According to reports, Jitendra will reprise his role as Abhishek Tripathi, aka Sachiv ji, appearing in two episodes. His character is set to handle paperwork related to the death of Pankaj Tripathi’s character, Kaleen Bhaiya.

‘Panchayat 3‘ was released earlier this year, on May 28, 2024, while ‘Mirzapur 3’ started streaming from July 5 onwards.
